Brief Description of Workshop:
This intensive certification course is designed to train techno-management professionals at an entry to intermediate level new to the photovoltaic industry. The program will train the candidate in-depth in the essential engineering, management as well as regulatory aspects of the field. A successful candidate will be able to have an understanding of Solar Mission, Project Management issues and Softwares, Techno Commercial analysis, DPR, & Renewable Energy Certificates. The course will be conducted in a workshop mode (participative) and each session builds upon the others.
Target Audience
• Banks, FI’s: To finance the solar project the issues related to standards, warranties, and testing should be understood
• Insurance: Solar projects can not be insured unless the insurer has clear understanding of project longevity and risks involved
• Solar EPC Companies: Warranties, performance guaranties, exclusions in certification criteria need to be understood by EPC provider
• Project developer –Project developer should know where he is spending money and for what returns
• Green Building Architects- architects need to know the specs for green buildings
• Solar Manufacturers- What new standards are being developed which will have a impact on purchases so they must know the standards
• Consultants: To provide informed reports and services to the clients they should understand the different standards
